2011 America the Beautiful 5oz Silver - Chickasaw National Recreation Area, OK PCGS MS-69

Since 2010, the US Mint released five silver America the Beautiful coins annually. The 5oz silver coins will be complete in 2021, each representing a historical monument or a treasured national park. These bullion coins were introduced following the success of the state quarter program.Chickasaw National Recreation Area is a National Recreation Area situated in the foothills of the Arbuckle Mountains in south-central Oklahoma near Sulphur in Murray County. It includes the former Platt National Park and Arbuckle Recreation District.The area was established as Sulphur Springs Reservation on July 1, 1902; renamed and redesignated Platt National Park on June 29, 1906; combined with the Arbuckle Recreation Area and additional lands and renamed and redesignated on 17 March 1976.
